With an appreciation for art + design, Katie opened the doors to MODRN GR in 2018, focusing mostly on home accessories. Post covid- she reimagined the store as so much more. She has expanded Modrn GR’s space and offerings to a full home design studio. She has grown the design team and added cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, curated home accessories + more. THough she is busy running the show and leading the team; she still makes time for design consultations with clients and collaboration with builders. designer
as a graduate of kendall college of art and design, hannah brings her immense technical knowledge + software skills to the table . she enjoys computer aided design and drafting and is passionate about bringing spaces to life. at some point in your deisgn process with modrn, your project will surely cross hannah’s desk for her to turn your inspiration mood boards into detailed plans for our building partners to translate into beautiful livable spaces. as a grand rapids native, she is excited to see the city grow and loves having a hand in designing homes throughout the area.

With 20+ years of customer service and management experience, Cait joined us as General Manager after a decade in the salon industry. She brings a fresh outside perspective on systems and operations + is eagerly learning about all facets of interior design. Cait is your first point of contact when inquiring about design work and she will be your resource for all things relating to timelines and quotes! You'll see Cait in the MODRN studio monday-friday and on job sites taking photos + video for social media. Outside of MODRN, this California native enjoys hiking with her wife + pups to make the most of our short warm seasons in West MI, or curling up with good book. She's happy to have a chat with anyone walking in the studio and always enjoys getting to know our building partners on site!
